Aloe Vera, Honey, Rose Water, and Oatmeal – You Don’t Need a Lot of Money to Be Pretty
Acne is a teenager’s worst enemy and an adult’s worst nightmare. It does not only leave scars on the skin, it can also scar a person’s ego. No one in their right mind would intentionally grow acne on their face; why? Because acne can be embarrassing; it indirectly tells people you do not take care of yourself even if you probably take more baths then they do. Fortunately, there are home remedies for acne that can turn your life upside down (in a very good way).
First stop on my list of home remedies for acne is aloe vera. This plant effectively regenerates your skin cells and heals the wounds caused by acne; but only if it is used on a daily basis. There is no need to cook, chop, or eat the aloe vera to make this work. To make an Aloe Vera acne mask simply cut a portion of the plant’s leaf, squeeze out all its juices, and apply it on your clean face. Leave it on for a few minutes or until it dries up like a facial mask, and rinse it off with warm water. Do this every day and you will start to see results in one to two weeks.
Second, use honey as one of the home remedies for acne. This sweet treat is known world-wide for its antibiotic properties and its ability to lessen scars caused by acne. You may drink it as syrup, or apply it directly on your acne; the latter being more effective. To use it, clean your face thoroughly and apply the honey on your acne marks (only on your pimples and not on your entire face). Leave it on for ten to fifteen minutes, rinse, and pat dry.
Lastly, you can use rose water and oatmeal for relief from acne. Simply use the rose water to dissolve oatmeal powder (very similar to how you prepare your breakfast), and use the paste as a facial mask. Once the oatmeal starts to flake out on the sides – usually after ten minutes – you may rinse it off with warm water. If done daily, you will instantly see a clearer face and a less oily skin. The rose water is just an additional touch that helps your skin have a more rejuvenated glow. They are also said to help lessen acne scars in a matter of weeks.
Acne treatment can be really expensive; but with these home remedies for acne, you don’t even have to spend a dime. All you need is to look around your kitchen and voila, you instantly have a cure for acne. Remember to try it on a small portion of your skin first before putting it on your entire face so you can check for any allergic reaction.
